Camp is home to more than 30 species of birds, and even more if you include the variety of finches and ducks that help make up our animal family. Campers can choose to adopt any one of our birds for the week, or they can simply enjoy interacting and learning about them as a cohabitant of one of our mammal enclosures. Our birds love all the attention they get from campers. They enjoy being fed fruits and vegetables as special treats, taking a bath in a fine mist of water from a spray bottle and playfully destroying the wide variety of toys that are lovingly made for them as part of one of our animal enrichment classes. Some of our birds will even dance, sing, whistle or laugh right along with our campers.
