Open House – April 4th at Cub Creek

Join us for Open House on April 4th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. This is a wonderful chance for returning camp families to reconnect before summer begins and a great opportunity to bring friends and family who have never experienced Cub Creek before.

Guests will be able to enjoy crafts in the art studio, Angry Birds and slingshots, campfires with marshmallow roasting, and guided camp tours throughout the day. Camp tours will be offered every 30 minutes, and animal area tours will be offered every 45 minutes.

This year, animal areas will be tour-based only and will not be open for free walk-throughs. Campers who bring their ambassador bead may lead animal tours independently, while all other guests will participate in guided tour groups.

If you are still thinking about camp for this summer, it is not too late to register. Some sessions still have space available. Open House is also the perfect time to introduce new families to camp. If you bring a friend who is new to camp and they register, both families will receive a $100 referral bonus.

New Births

We are excited to introduce Ollie and Oph, our Asian small-clawed otters, who joined Cub Creek this fall. Much to our surprise, this playful pair welcomed twin babies, and their little ones will be making their first public appearance during Open House. Their eyes have just opened, and you can be among the first to see them during the guided animal tours.

Open House guests will also have the chance to meet our baby goats and emus. Spring is always an exciting time at Cub Creek, and these new arrivals are a fun reminder of all the life and activity beginning around camp as we get ready for summer.
